Architect Shuhei Aoyama

Shuhei Aoyama (青山 周平 b. 1980) is a Japanese architect based in Beijing, China. Aoyama graduated from the University of Tokyo in 2005 with a master's degree in Architecture and moved to Beijing, obtaining his doctoral's degree at Tsinghua University.

Beijing is a city of new changes and opportunities for architects. What is it like to witness the new rapid changes happening, even at this very moment, from an architect's point of view? Is it possible to preserve the old and the new in harmony?
